I am only one person, but I still asked myself, how I can help these underprivileged individuals pursue their dreams?

Given the correct supplies & facilities to train, these kids could focus on their goals and aspirations. Without the most basic form of supplies, they can’t progress to a better life. I set up a go fund me the week of my 18th birthday and posted it on my facebook asking friends and family for them to donate money for this school instead of giving me gifts. I raised over my goal of $1,000. A few families donated directly in cash so in total we gave the school $1,200. I asked the school what they wanted to do with the money and part of it they said they wanted to design dance bags (in first picture) for all their students to have so this is the design, they wrote the schools name, and also they mention and thank Acton School of Ballet for their donations at the top. The other part of the money you can see they sent us a receipt and it says “LiangAn Dance and Arts Center is very grateful to receive $1200 cash donation from Kate Zhong and her friends on April 27, 2019. All the cash donations will be used for matters related to the center, for example, buying new equipment improving classroom, etc."

Why I wanted to do this project...

Because I’ve been raised in such a privileged town, I often forget how lucky I am to have what I have and have the freedom to pursue...
